On February 23rd at 5 PM, Welcome Dog Korea held its first Toronto meetup of 2025, bringing together an incredible group of adopters, fosters, and supporters—along with their adorable four-legged friends! Hosted at Simpl Café (799 College St, Toronto, ON M6G 1C7) and generously sponsored by Smack Food, the night was filled with laughter, wagging tails, and heartwarming reunions.
The event was a special opportunity for our rescue community to connect in person, share adoption stories, and celebrate the amazing journeys of our beloved pups. Whether they had been with their families for years or were recent arrivals from Korea, every dog was showered with love—and plenty of treats!
The Stars of the Night
🐾 Pumba & Timon – Our February newsletter stars made a special appearance! These two have captured hearts with their inspiring adoption story, and seeing them in person, happy and thriving, was a true highlight.
🐾 Timbit – If there were an award for “most loved of the night,” Timbit would take it home! This little charmer had everyone doting on and soaking up all the affection.
🐾 Bowie – The ultimate treat connoisseur! Bowie made sure to sample all the snacks and loved every single bite.
🐾 Yuna – A true sweetheart, Yuna gave out kisses to everyone—especially my husband and me—before curling up for a cozy nap amidst the excitement. Talk about knowing how to enjoy the party!
🐾 Dallim – Small but mighty! This petite pup may be tiny, but he confidently made his way around, greeting new friends with his bright and bold spirit.
🐾 Heath – With effortlessly cool vibes, Heath took it all in stride, watching the crew party while gently enjoying the atmosphere.
🐾 Sora – The jet lag didn’t stop Sora from joining the fun! Having arrived from Korea just two weeks ago, she still made it out to the event, proving that rescue pups are full of resilience and spirit.
A Night of Connection & Community
One of the most beautiful things about events like this is seeing how deeply connected our community is. Every adoption, every foster journey, and every rescue effort brings people and pups together in the most meaningful way. We are beyond grateful for everyone who came out, supported the event, and helped make this night so special.
