Adoption FAQ's
Where are the dogs located?
Most of our dogs are currently in South Korea and they will fly to Canada/US once they find a foster or forever home
How long does the adoption process take?
Once we receive your adoption application, within 2-3 days we will send you the interview request.
After the phone-interview, the decision will take about 3-4 days.
In total, our adoption process takes about 1-2 weeks.
There are currently no dogs on your website and the dog that I'm interested in is currently in adoption pending. Do you have a waitlist option and if so how does it work?
We don’t have a waitlist options but once you submit the adoption application, we can keep your adoption application until you re-apply for other dogs.
If the dog that you are interested in is in adoption pending, in this case we can recommend you the other dogs that are very similar to the dog that you are looking for. Do not feel hesitant to contact us!
Are all our dogs "Cat tested"?
On the dog’s profile, it will say “Not cat tested”. It means the dog hasn’t met a cat in foster care, so we have little to no knowledge on how the dog will do in the home with a cat. If the dog does not show signs of prey drive, we are open to a home with cats. However, there are things for cat owners to consider before submitting an application for a dog that isn’t cat tested. We do not offer dog/cat meet and greets before a dog is adopted. Therefore, you MUST do your research on proper dog/cat introductions in the home. Also, you must be willing to work with the dog if the dog does start to chase or show unwanted behaviours toward the cat. This may require the support of a professional trainer, so you also must be prepared for potential costs associated with this. Lastly, all adoptions have a trial period of at least one month, which will give a small indication on how manageable the relationship will be.
Is there any way I can meet a dog prior to applying?
Most of our dogs are currently in South Korea which means it is not available for applicants to meet before they apply for our rescue dogs.
Instead, our team can send you some videos to see the dog’s personality and characters.
But if the dog is currently staying in a foster home(Canada/US), if your application is processed and you’ve completed the interview, you may be approved for a meet and greet with the dog and its foster.
Will the dog I adopt come with the health document?
Yes! All of our dogs will come with the health document which you will be able to see their microchip number and vaccination history.
What does "airport fee" and "porter fee" mean?
Anyone who adopts a dog internationally should pay a “tax” to the government when adopters pick up the dog from the airport.
“Tax” is an airport fee that you will be paying at the inspection office(customs office)
The porter fee is a fee that you will be paying to the porter(airport staff) at the airport.
Every city/country has different laws and different amounts.
